The Lee Foundation gives small grants for eligible ‘grass roots’ projects that help people in need due to social exclusion.
Where possible we try to allocate funding to projects in the geographical area where the donations were received. This way you can see the benefit of your fundraising and donations in your area. Our current areas of focus are The Marches (Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Powys) and Devon.
You can influence how the money raised is spent by making recommendations to us directly.
We impact local people through funding committed individuals or constituted groups doing interesting, edgy projects that make a real and lasting difference in communities.
Some project examples we might support include: activities that reduce isolation for older people, art groups for people with mental health problems, good neighbour schemes, home from hospital support, skill banks, local youth clubs and enterprises, care farms, singing for health, out of school clubs and healthy eating initiatives.
We like to fund projects that often get overlooked either because they are small or help a less popular group or need in our society.
We are committed to keeping the running cost of the charity as low as possible to ensure that donations have the maximum benefit. To do this we need help! If you would like to donate time or skills please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org
