Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This policy explains what Lee Foundation LLC collects through theleefoundation.com, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to info@theleefoundation.com and we will answer plainly.

1. Who we are

Lee Foundation LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company operating as The Lee Foundation, at 222 2nd Ave S, Nashville, TN 37201. We are the controller of the personal information described here.

Contact: info@theleefoundation.com. For hiring matters, admin.hr@theleefoundation.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

Our host records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We do not run advertising trackers, analytics profiling, or third-party marketing pixels on this site.

We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send us, Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, bank or brokerage account numbers, or copies of financial statements through these forms.

3. How we use it

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used under California law.

4. Legal bases, for visitors in the UK, EU, and EEA

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf under contract. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers, or where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights. If the business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

6. Cookies and the map

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own. The only third-party content that can set cookies is the Google Maps embed in our contact section.

Because of that, the map does not load until you allow it. When you first visit, a notice at the bottom of the screen lets you accept or decline. If you decline, the map is replaced with a button and nothing loads from Google unless you press it. We store your choice in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again, and that entry is not sent to us or to anyone else.

To change your choice, clear your browser storage for this site and reload the page.

7. How long we keep it

8. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to info@theleefoundation.com and we will respond within the time the law allows, generally 30 to 45 days.

If you are in California

Under the CCPA and CPRA you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right exists. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You may use an authorized agent.

If you are in the UK, EU, or EEA

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Mailing list

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click and you are off the list.

9. Notice to job applicants

This section is the notice at collection required by California law, and it applies to every applicant regardless of where you live.

What we collect: identifiers such as your name, email address, and phone number, professional and employment history and education contained in the resume you upload, and anything you choose to write in the cover letter field.

Why: solely to evaluate your application, communicate with you about it, and consider you for future openings. We do not use applicant information for marketing, and we do not sell or share it.

How long: up to two years from submission, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Please do not include your Social Security number, date of birth, driver's license number, photograph, or information about your health, religion, race, or national origin in your application materials. We do not need it and we do not want it in our systems.

Questions about applicant data go to admin.hr@theleefoundation.com.

10. International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers operate in the United States and the European Union. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws differ from those in your country. Where required, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

11. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are encrypted in transit, and access to submissions is limited to people at the firm who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive financial or identity documents through the forms on this site.

12. Children

This site is meant for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
